About

Amy Clites – Writer & Content Creator

Thanks for visiting! I am a freelance writer and content creator with a dynamic background in the arts. I’ve written thousands of articles over the past ten years in a wide variety of subjects including the arts, real estate, travel, and many more. My work has appeared on various websites including OnStage Blog, Tiny Buddha, Let’s Talk About Divorce, Mapquest Travel, Mapquest Parachute, and I’m Moving to L.A. In 2019, my article “Buyer Beware: The Case Against Getting an M.F.A. in Acting” placed in the Top Ten in the Print/Online Category in the 88th Annual Writer’s Digest Writing Competition, with another article also receiving an Honorable Mention in the same category. I’ve also written a novel and several screenplays and other scripts.

My training in acting led me to New York for several years, where not only did I have an active career in the theater, but I also worked for a data company specializing in email marketing intelligence. Talk about two different worlds! What that experience gave me was a unique perspective on the space where art and business meet. This knowledge prompted a leap to Los Angeles in 2007 where I worked full-time for several years in television development. I now devote myself full-time to writing and am based on the shores of Lake Michigan in the Chicagoland area.

My creativity and ability to understand, visualize, and communicate a diverse array of concepts allows me to provide expert services to professionals and companies in a variety of fields. I take real pleasure in helping to develop a concept and a vision, and to communicate those ideas and information in a clear, efficient, and exciting way.
